Solar Power Plant - OFFGRID

 

Solar PV panels are a very cost effective and easy way to power our energy needs today. A photovoltaic (PV) module is a packaged assembly of solar cells along with a charge controller and output socket. These panels can form part of a large MW scale power plant and also be used to power personal and home appliances. Sizes range from 1W to 250W per panel.

In a solar rooftop system, the solar panels are installed on the roof of any residential, commercial, institutional or industrial building. This can be of two types:

(i) Solar Rooftop System with storage facility using battery (OFFGRID)

(ii) Grid Connected Solar Rooftop System (ONGRID)

An OFFGRID rooftop system has a battery bank as a storage facility. The solar electricity is stored in the battery bank and can be utilized during the  night and also when the sun is not available.
