In a grid connected rooftop solar power plant, the DC power generated from solar panels is converted to AC power using an inverter and is fed to the grid either via 440/220 Volt three/single phase line depending on the capacity of the system installed.
These solar plants generate power during the day time which is utilized fully by powering captive loads and feed excess power to the grid as long as grid is available. In case, where solar power is not sufficient due to cloud cover etc., the captive loads are served by drawing power from the grid.
The prices quoted are for bifacial monocryastalline solar panels having an efficiency greater than 20.75 %. These panels fulfill the DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) mandated by the MNRE ( Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India) for installing solar plants under all subsidy schemes of the government.
Subsidy Pattern for grid connected solar power plants in India:
Central Govt. | Rs.86,800/- |
Uttarakhand State Govt. | Rs.51,000/- |
Note: Customer needs to pay the full amount for the solar power plant. Subsidy will be transferred by MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy) to Customer A/C by DBT (Direct Benefits Transfer Scheme) Scheme of Central Govt. of India.
